Responsibilities Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions. Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos. Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive attitude. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising displays to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized. Maintain professional phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or coordinating store activities. Support product demos when needed, demonstrating features and benefits to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies, conducting stock counts, and supporting merchandising initiatives. Supervise or assist junior team members as needed, fostering teamwork and ensuring smooth store operations. Skills Proven experience operating POS systems and handling retail sales transactions efficiently. Strong cashiering skills with excellent cash drawer handling and basic math proficiency for accurate transactions. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and sales strategies including upselling. Experience supervising or mentoring team members is preferred but not required. Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional communication with customers or vendors. Ability to perform retail math accurately for balancing cash registers and processing returns or exchanges. Demonstrated ability to handle stock replenishment tasks such as stocking shelves and supporting inventory counts.
