Action Wildlife is seeking friendly, outgoing team members to serve as Cashiers, who will be cross trained around numerous areas around the park. You'll help create a welcoming experience for guests by handling admissions and retail purchases, and also leading small tours, sharing fun facts about our wildlife, assisting with the occasional encounter, and helping visitors have a memorable visit.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and provide information about the park, exhibits, and daily activities Process admissions, memberships, retail purchases, and other transactions accurately using the POS system Lead occasional groups on tours, sharing educational and engaging information about the animals and conservation efforts Answer guest questions and ensure a positive experience for visitors of all ages Maintain a clean and organized cashier/tour area Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash drawer reconciliation Follow all park policies, safety procedures, and guidelines for interacting with animals
Qualifications:
Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills Comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with children and families Basic math skills and attention to detail Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Comfort around animals and willingness to work in an environment where wildlife is present (experience with animals is a plus) Resourceful, adaptable and capable of finding solutions independently Ability to work when the park is open (Wednesday-Sunday) and peak seasonal times
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Comfortable walking outdoors on varied terrain Why Work at Action Wildlife?
