Yamaha facilityHiring Immediately - Job Offers Available on the Spot Position Overview We are immediately hiring a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier/Server to join the cafeteria team at our Yamaha location. This position plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience by providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, serving meals, preparing beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized cafeteria environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, comfortable working an early-morning schedule, attentive to cleanliness, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced food-service environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service and Cash Handling Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous service. Accurately operate the cash register and point-of-sale system. Process cash, credit, and other approved forms of payment. Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. Balance the cash drawer as required. Answer questions about menu items and assist customers with meal selections and special requests. Maintain a friendly and professional attitude throughout each shift. Food and Beverage Service Serve meals efficiently while following established portion-control guidelines. Prepare and maintain fresh batches of tea and lemonade throughout the day. Monitor beverage levels and replenish drinks as needed. Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, cups, lids, and other service supplies. Keep food and beverage service areas neat, organized, and ready for customers. Assist with basic food-service duties as assigned. Cleaning and Sanitation Maintain strict attention to detail when completing cleaning tasks. Clean and sanitize counters, cashier stations, beverage areas, and dining spaces. Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and health guidelines. Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and general cafeteria cleaning. Complete assigned end-of-day cleaning and closing responsibilities. Keep all work areas safe, clean, and free of clutter. Team Support Communicate clearly and professionally with kitchen and service staff. Assist with the daily setup and breakdown of cafeteria service areas. Support team members during busy meal periods. Help maintain a smooth and efficient workflow throughout the shift. Complete additional operational duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous cashier, restaurant, cafeteria, food-service, or customer-service experience is preferred. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle financial transactions. Comfortable learning and operating a point-of-sale system. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness. Dependable, punctual, and able to report for a 5:00 a.m. start time. Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Willingness to follow all food-handling, safety, and sanitation procedures. Schedule The scheduled working hours for this position are 5:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently arrive on time for the 5:00 a.m. shift.
