Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly Provide friendly, professional customer service, addressing questions and assisting with product inquiries Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales at shift end Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance the customer shopping experience Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to keep the store inviting and well-stocked Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about new or featured items Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Requirements Previous experience with POS systems, cash register operations, or cashiering in a retail or grocery environment preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus) Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is advantageous Basic math skills for handling transactions, retail math calculations, and cash drawer handling Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations preferred Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks associated with stocking and merchandising Embark on a rewarding career where your proactive approach makes a difference!
