Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and offering product recommendations or upselling when appropriate Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by assisting with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and ensuring displays are attractive and inviting Conduct product demos or tastings when applicable to promote new or featured items Handle cash register operations efficiently, including balancing cash drawers at shift end and maintaining accurate transaction records Uphold phone etiquette standards by professionally answering inquiries and directing calls as needed Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, participating in stock counts, and notifying management of low inventory or discrepancies Experience Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or liquor store environments, demonstrating familiarity with retail math and merchandising techniques Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership skills and the ability to oversee team members or assist in training new staff Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations to ensure quick and accurate checkout processes Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities that enhance customer interactions and team collaboration Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, especially related to beverages or grocery items, to provide informed assistance to customers Experience conducting product demos or tastings to engage customers actively and promote sales opportunities Familiarity with grocery store operations such as stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while fostering a fun and energetic shopping atmosphere.
