Position Summary The Main Banker at our historical horse racing facility plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our establishment. This individual will oversee the daily reconciliation and replenishment of funds across various areas, ensuring accurate cash handling, maintaining the integrity of the bank, and safeguarding the company's assets. The Main Banker will contribute to the smooth functioning of cage redemption equipment, cage cashiers, food and beverage cash banks, sportsbook outlets, and simulcasting outlets. Enthusiastically promote Sandy's culture of offering superior guest service and actively building longlasting guest relations. Reconcile and replenish funds on a daily basis for cage redemption equipment, cage cashiers, food and beverage cash banks, sportsbook outlets, and simulcasting outlets. Safeguard the company's assets by maintaining accurate records and monitoring cash movements. Uphold the highest standards of cash handling accuracy, ensuring minimal errors in transactions. Ensure compliance with departmental standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bank area and its surrounding environment. Collaborate with other team members to address cashrelated issues and discrepancies promptly. Assist in training new cashiers and employees on proper cash handling procedures. Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patrons regarding cash transactions. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile any discrepancies and facilities accurate financial reporting. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Must be able to acquire and maintain applicable Kentucky Horse Racing Commission licensing. Excellent cash handling skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Strong sense of urgency and the ability to handle highpressure situations. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Previous experience in cash handling, banking, or related field is preferred. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the gaming or hospitality industry is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills required. Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in cash handling, banking, or a similar role is preferred. Additional education or training in finance, accounting, or hospitality is advantageous. Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate reconciliation. Working Environment Must be able to work independently. Primarily work within the historical horse racing facility's bank area. Constant interaction with cash transactions, technology, and customers. Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment that requires adaptability to changing demands. Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines. Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 25 lbs. Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights. Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to stand and move around for extended periods. Comfortable working with cashhandling equipment, computers, and various technology. Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Capacity to remain composed under pressure and maintain attention to detail. Must be able to frequently lift and handle up to 30lbs without assistance. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, reach and turn/twist for extended periods of time. Must be able to solve problems, organize and plan multiple projects, interpret data, and make decisions.
