Duties Operate cash registers using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end Assist customers with product inquiries, offering product demos when applicable to enhance their shopping experience Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays to maintain an organized and inviting store environment Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fueling areas, convenience store aisles, and checkout counters Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and assisting with inventory management Conduct basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accuracy in retail math tasks Skills Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities or team support roles Bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases effectively Knowledge of grocery store or retail store product knowledge enhances sales interactions Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and transaction balancing Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos to engage customers effectively Familiarity with upselling techniques to increase sales while maintaining customer satisfaction Excellent communication skills coupled with professionalism in phone etiquette and customer interactions This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their retail expertise in a fast-paced environment.
