This role involves processing payments, assisting with orders, answering basic menu questions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The ideal candidate is professional, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant and lounge environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and confirm order details. Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments. Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, and available options. Communicate orders and special requests clearly with kitchen and service staff. Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests. Organize completed orders and help maintain smooth service flow. Keep the register, counter, and front-of-house areas clean and organized. Restock napkins, utensils, containers, and other service supplies as needed. Assist restaurant team members during busy service periods. Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures. Support opening, closing, and routine daily responsibilities as assigned. Communicate customer concerns or order issues to the appropriate team member. Qualifications Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Comfortable learning and using POS systems. Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy. Able to remain organized during busy service periods. Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
