Job Description
Job Summary Become part of our welcoming retail team at Wild Oats as a Cashier, where we take pride in knowing our customers by name! We're seeking a part-time team member to handle transactions while delivering warm, attentive service. Weekend availability is a must. Responsibilities Use the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately and efficiently to complete transactions. Process cash, check, and credit card payments carefully, following proper cash-handling procedures. Help customers with questions about products and store offerings. Keep shelves organized and visually appealing by straightening items, maintaining displays, and ensuring products are neatly presented. Answer store calls with professionalism, assisting customers and vendors over the phone. Provide excellent customer service by engaging shoppers, offering help, and sharing information about promotions or specials. Qualifications Prior cashier or retail/grocery experience is a plus, but not required—willingness to learn is most important. Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems are helpful for handling transactions confidently. Strong customer service abilities and clear, friendly communication, including phone etiquette.
