Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed. Manage the cash drawer responsibly by performing cash handling duties, balancing registers at shift end, and ensuring accurate cash register operations. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Stock shelves and merchandise displays as needed to ensure the store remains attractive and organized for customers. Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking new products and conducting stock counts to support merchandising efforts. Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or internal communications to foster positive interactions. Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering duties in a retail environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus). Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team collaboration. Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations such as making change or totaling sales. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising standards, and inventory procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. Familiarity with upselling techniques and product demos to maximize sales opportunities. Professional phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone courteously.
