Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed. Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring proper cash balancing at the start and end of each shift. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and assist with merchandising efforts to create an inviting shopping environment. Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries via phone or in person, ensuring clear communication at all times. Support inventory management by assisting with stocking, inventory counts, and product placement to optimize store presentation. Supervise or assist in supervising team members during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer interactions. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear information about products and services; bilingual abilities are advantageous. Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash drawer handling, basic math proficiency, and cash handling accuracy. Experience in supervising or leading team members is desirable but not required; leadership qualities are a bonus. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies to enhance sales performance.
