Sawyer Home & Garden Center Cashier Full-time or Seasonal Sawyer, Michigan Now hiring Cashiers to join our team! Cashiers play a key role in our daily operations, providing outstanding customer service and processing transactions accurately & efficiently - while upholding our values and policies. An ideal candidate would have weekend availability and be able to work a minimum of 4 shifts per week. Full-time or seasonal Flexible hours between 9AM-7PM. Open 7 days a week. Team oriented and fun environment. Fast-paced Employee discount Duties include but are not limited to: Cheerfully greeting customers Answer customer questions and phone calls Receiving payments, issuing refunds or charging customer accounts Maintaining accuracy Bagging, boxing, or wrapping merchandise Offering carry-out assistance to customers Stocking/ facing shelves Moving product or displays to a new area of the store as needed Price various products

Requirements:

Must be 18 or older Strong communication and time management skills Customer satisfaction oriented Must be willing to train in other areas for back up as needed Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment indoors & outdoors Must be dependable Must be a team player, willing to help as needed Must be able to work until 7PM, weekends, and some holidays Experience is preferred but not necessary - we will train you! Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Skills:

Proficient in cash handling procedures Experience with POS systems is a plus Excellent phone etiquette for answering customer inquiries Previous retail experience preferred but not required Ability to multi-task without losing accuracy or sense of urgency
