Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Front End Cashier to join our dynamic retail team! Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to handle retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising displays as needed. Handle cash drawer operations responsibly, ensuring accurate cash drawer balancing at shift end. Communicate effectively with team members regarding stock levels, customer feedback, or store updates. Qualifications Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; grocery store experience is a plus. Strong proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for growth opportunities. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to assist customers over the phone or in person. Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and sales reporting.
