Shipton's Big R is a Farm/Ranch retail corporation that has been in business 77 years and counting! We are seeking a Full-Time Cashier for our Lewistown, MT location. Responsibilities Customer Engagement

• Greet customers as they enter the store and when they arrive at the register.

While transacting their sale, engage the customer by asking if they found what they were looking for. Thank them for shopping with us when they are leaving the store and invite them to visit again. Responsible for all point of sale transactions including cash, credit card, check, gift cards, charge accounts, special orders and the like. Responsible for completing cash drawer procedures at the end of shift following a procedure. Yard sales

• Must be familiar with merchandise located in the yard and know how to use the yard book. Responsible for processing returns following a procedure. Salesmanship
• Must have the ability to sell products in your area of responsibility. Cleaning
• Maintain cleanliness of register area and front end. Signage
• Must understand Shipton's sign program and be able to make signs.

Responsible for floating between departments to meet business needs. Minimum Requirements Must be friendly and able to engage the customer. Must be able to read, understand and write legibly. Must have basic math skills. Must have computer skills to be able to learn and operate a point of sale system and be able to look up merchandise. Must have the ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to work with and around the products we carry including feed, seed, or poultry (chickens, ducks, geese and the like) or small animals. Must be able to work with and around cleaning supplies. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time. Must have ability to climb a ladder.
