As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing customers with a welcoming and efficient checkout experience while accurately processing transactions and supporting front-of-store operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling payments, interacting with customers, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service at checkout. Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently. Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment in accordance with company procedures. Accurately apply discounts, promotions, and other applicable offers. Provide customers with receipts and ensure transactions are completed correctly. Maintain accurate cash handling practices and follow all register procedures. Answer customer questions regarding pricing, promotions, store policies, and merchandise. Assist with customer concerns and escalate issues to management when appropriate. Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and properly stocked. Assist with light restocking and general store organization when needed. Support opening and closing register procedures, including cash counts as assigned. Work collaboratively with Sales Associates and management to provide a smooth customer experience. Follow all company policies, procedures, and loss-prevention practices. Experience & Qualifications Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Basic math skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions. Friendly and professional communication skills. Ability to remain organized and efficient during busy periods. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team.
