Responsibilities Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods to promote programs, gather feedback, or solicit support for initiatives Engage in face-to-face communication with community members using strong interpersonal skills and active listening Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track progress in real-time Promote community engagement by explaining the benefits of programs or campaigns clearly and persuasively Negotiate with potential supporters or donors to maximize participation and contributions Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude during all interactions in outdoor settings Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach approaches and share insights on community needs Use telemarketing techniques when appropriate to follow up with contacts or reinforce messaging Experience Prior field sales experience or canvassing background preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles within outreach teams Strong marketing skills with an understanding of community engagement strategies Customer service experience demonstrating patience, professionalism, and active listening skills Bilingual abilities are highly valued to connect with diverse populations effectively Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions is advantageous Proven ability to communicate clearly, negotiate effectively, and build rapport quickly with strangers Join us as an experienced canvasser and become a vital part of our mission to connect communities!
