Independent Contractor Do you love the phone? We mean really love it? Let's be honest: most people spend all day avoiding phone calls. Texting when they could call. Letting it ring out. Screening numbers they don't recognize like it's a horror movie. We're looking for the rare person who's wired differently — someone who hears a phone ring and thinks "let's go" instead of "not right now." Because here's the truth about this job: the phone is the whole job. Not email. Not texting. Not DMs. The phone. Every deal we close, every property owner we help, every bonus you earn starts with a conversation that happens because someone picked up and someone else had the nerve to dial. That someone is you. What You'll Actually Be Doing Making outbound calls to property owners and having real, human conversations Answering inbound calls and picking up right where the conversation left off Asking good questions, listening more than you talk, and taking solid notes Moving promising conversations forward toward our closing process Getting comfortable with "no," staying warm anyway, and dialing the next number Why the Phone Matters So Much Here Anyone can send a text that gets ignored. It takes a real person, with a real voice, to turn a stranger's "maybe" into a "yes." Tone, pacing, timing, a well-placed pause — none of that comes through in a message. It comes through in a conversation. If you're good on the phone, you're not just doing a task here — you're doing the one thing in this business that actually moves the needle. What We're Looking For Someone who is genuinely comfortable — even energized — talking to strangers on the phone for hours at a time Clear communicator who can build rapport fast and stay calm when a call gets tense Organized enough to log every call accurately (we take notes seriously) Reliable for core hours, Thursday through Sunday, at our Brentwood office Bonus points if you've done sales, collections, appointment-setting, or any other job where the phone was your main tool Compensation $20/hour base pay during scheduled call hours $500 bonus for every deal you originate or advance that closes Monthly team bonus on top of that (up to $1,500+ when the team hits volume milestones) After 6 months, you can opt into a higher-commission structure if you'd rather chase bigger bonuses than a bigger hourly rate
