Job Description

Block Walker / Canvasser — Full-Time + Part-Time Title Block Walker / Canvasser (Full-Time and Partime) Pay $25 per hour, plus a $500 gas stipend Schedule 40 hours per week; afternoons, evenings, and weekends required for Full-Time canvassers. 15-25 hours per week; primarily weekday evenings (roughly 4-8 PM) and weekends (Saturday and Sunday shifts) for Part-Time Canvassers Location Fort Worth and communities across Tarrant County, TX (in person, in the field) Duration Immediately through November 3, 2026 (Election Day); hours increase during early voting, October 19 - October 30 Reports to Field Director About the Campaign Tiffany Burks is running for Tarrant County District Attorney in the November 3, 2026 general election. We are a community-driven campaign built on direct voter contact: knocking doors, talking to neighbors, and turning out voters across Tarrant County. Our field program is the heart of the campaign, and the people we hire now will be on the front lines of the final stretch through Election Day. The Role Block walkers are the face of the campaign at the door. You will go neighborhood to neighborhood talking with voters about Tiffany Burks, why this race matters, and how and when to vote. As a full-time block walker, you will be a core member of the field team, carrying a daily door goal and helping lead volunteer walks on weekends. What You Will Do Knock doors on assigned turf and have real conversations with voters using the campaign script and a mobile canvassing app Accurately record every conversation and voter response in the app the same day Hit daily and weekly door and contact goals set by the Field Director Distribute campaign literature and help voters make a plan to vote (polling locations, early voting dates, ID requirements) Support community events, water distribution, and neighborhood canvass launches as needed Help lead weekend volunteer canvasses: set up launch sites, train new walkers, and cut and assign turf Report daily results and flag issues (turf problems, hostile addresses, data errors) to the Field Director Represent the campaign professionally and respectfully at every door Who We Are Looking For Comfortable talking to strangers, friendly, and persistent — you do not get discouraged by a closed door Able to walk several miles a day outdoors in Texas weather
Reliable:
shows up on time, every shift, and communicates early if something changes Reliable transportation to and from turf across Tarrant County (gas stipend provided) A smartphone with data (the canvassing app runs on your phone) Comfortable with basic technology; canvassing app training provided Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Prior canvassing, organizing, sales, customer service, or community work is a plus — but not required; we train Must be 18 or older Compensation and Perks $25 per hour, paid on a regular pay schedule $500 gas stipend Paid training, campaign gear, and all materials provided Direct experience on a countywide race and a reference for future campaign, organizing, or public-sector work How to Apply Send a short note (a few sentences on why you want to work on this campaign and your availability) and a résumé or work history to info@tiffanyburksforda.com with the job title in the subject line.
