Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Energy Calcs Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville. This is a key support role behind every job we bid and build, responsible for producing accurate load calculations, duct designs, and energy code compliance documentation for a wide range of builder partners. The work centers on residential new construction, where correct system sizing and clean permitting paperwork keep projects moving on schedule. You will use Wrightsoft and EnergyGauge daily to complete load calculations and prepare the documentation our builders need for permit submittal. This role works closely with builder's permitting team, field managers, and our internal estimating, design, and construction teams, so organization and follow-through matter as much as technical skill.

$18 - $27 (Depends on experience) 80% company-paid medical insurance Dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability 401K Paid time off and paid holidays Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Cell phone Work-life balance (Monday to Friday unless a special project requires otherwise) Paid training to help you grow individually and professionally What You'll Do Complete ACCA Manual J, Manual D, and Manual S calculations for residential new construction projects Build energy models and run compliance calculations in Wrightsoft and EnergyGauge to meet Florida energy code requirements Review plans, elevations, and specifications to confirm building envelope data, orientation, and equipment selections Prepare and package permitting documentation for submittal, and respond to jurisdiction comments or revision requests Size equipment and duct systems so that installed performance matches design intent Prepare clear reports covering findings, sizing recommendations, and opportunities to improve energy performance Coordinate with builders, project managers, estimating, and field teams to keep calculations accurate and on schedule Track revisions and maintain organized records of calculations, models, and submitted documents Stay current on energy codes, ASHRAE and IECC standards, and changes to local permitting requirements Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Wrightsoft and EnergyGauge (Preferred) Working knowledge of ACCA Manual J, Manual D, and Manual S procedures (Preferred) Experience preparing documentation for the permitting process, ideally in Florida jurisdictions Solid understanding of energy codes and standards such as ASHRAE and IECC, and how compliance is documented (Preferred) Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and report generation Ability to read plans and interpret technical data on HVAC systems, building envelopes, and energy consumption (Preferred) Clear written and verbal communication with builders, permitting offices, and internal teams Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines at once Residential new construction background (Preferred) Self-starter with an ownership mindset Bilingual is a plus Valid driver's license and able to pass a background check Application Questions Have you completed ACCA Manual J, Manual D, and Manual S calculations as part of your HVAC design work?
