Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing housing units to identify energy efficiency opportunities and rehabilitation needs. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution. Perform root cause analysis on building deficiencies related to energy performance and structural integrity. Analyze building code compliance requirements and ensure all projects meet local regulations and safety standards. Lead project management efforts, including scheduling, resource allocation, progress tracking, and reporting to stakeholders. Use data collection techniques and data analysis skills to monitor project outcomes and optimize future interventions. Practice effective team leadership by coordinating efforts among contractors, engineers, inspectors, and community partners. Requirements Strong knowledge of project scheduling, project management principles, and systems engineering methodologies. Familiarity with building code analysis, building information modeling (BIM) tools, and building code compliance standards. Ability to perform root cause analysis using troubleshooting techniques within mechanical or electrical systems. Knowledge of civil engineering principles relevant to construction projects involving residential buildings. Strong research skills coupled with laboratory experience or field data collection methods. Excellent cross-functional communication skills for collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders.
