Compensation $60,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus a competitive health insurance package and benefits Position Overview The Member Relations Director is responsible for cultivating Oakfire Ridge's culture of unparalleled hospitality and building a connected, engaged member community. As a highly visible ambassador of the Club, this individual develops meaningful relationships with members, helps them feel known and welcomed, and encourages a spirit of hospitality throughout the membership. The role also supports membership growth by conducting daily tours for prospective members and their families. Each tour should bring the Oakfire Ridge story to life, communicate the Club's vision and amenities, and allow prospects to experience firsthand the hospitality and sense of belonging that distinguish Oakfire Ridge. Lead by example through thoughtful, proactive, and personalized service, including anticipating needs and creating memorable touches.
Help members embrace and extend a culture of warmth, welcome, and hospitality toward one another and their guests.
Partner across Club departments to ensure the member experience consistently reflects Oakfire Ridge hospitality standards. Member Relationships & Community Building
Develop genuine, long-term relationships with members and their families, learning their interests, preferences, and important personal details.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the Club and proactively engage members rather than waiting for requests or concerns.
Connect members with shared interests and help foster meaningful relationships within the Oakfire Ridge community.
Identify less-engaged members and reconnect them with people, activities, and experiences that strengthen their sense of belonging.
Encourage member advocacy and help establish traditions that deepen members' connection to the Club and to one another. Prospective Member Tours & Membership Development
Conduct daily property tours for prospective members and their families.
Present the Oakfire Ridge story, vision, amenities, membership opportunities, and future plans in an engaging and authentic manner.
Personalize each tour by learning about the prospect's interests, family, lifestyle, and reasons for considering membership.
Demonstrate the Oakfire Ridge hospitality experience throughout the visit and introduce prospects to members or Club leadership when appropriate.
Follow up promptly and personally after tours and coordinate with membership leadership to track prospects and next steps.
Maintain strong knowledge of membership categories, Club offerings, amenities, and development plans. New Member Experience
Lead new-member onboarding and orientation, personally welcoming members and their families to Oakfire Ridge.
Connect new members with relevant Club leaders, amenities, activities, and fellow members based on their interests.
Maintain personal contact during the first year to help new members become fully integrated into the Oakfire Ridge community. Member Experience & Retention
Serve as a trusted member advocate and coordinate across departments to deliver thoughtful, personalized experiences.
Gather member feedback, monitor overall membership sentiment, and identify signs of dissatisfaction or disengagement early.
Resolve member concerns with urgency, discretion, empathy, and sound judgment.
Maintain appropriate records of member preferences, interactions, feedback, and engagement.
Support retention by strengthening personal relationships and members' connection to the Club community. Member Communications
Maintain timely, personal communication with members regarding Club activities and opportunities for engagement.
Coordinate with leadership and marketing on newsletters, announcements, and other member communications, ensuring the tone reflects Oakfire Ridge hospitality.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding member information and Club matters.
Leadership & Collaboration The Member Relations Director serves as the voice of the member and an ambassador of Oakfire Ridge hospitality, working closely with Club leadership, membership sales, resort operations, golf, food & beverage, and marketing to ensure the experience promised to prospective members is consistently delivered after they join. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in private clubs, luxury hospitality, resorts, high-end residential communities, membership organizations, luxury sales, concierge services, or a comparable relationship-driven environment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for meeting, welcoming, and connecting people.
Strong presentation skills and confidence conducting tours and communicating the Oakfire Ridge story to prospective members.
Natural hospitality instincts, strong judgment, and the ability to anticipate needs and resolve sensitive matters with discretion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Experience with club-management or CRM systems preferred.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when Club activities and member needs require.
