Job Description

Who we are: Ira Green, Inc. was founded in 1943 as a contract manufacturer of military insignia, and has expanded into a full-service manufacturer and distributor of nearly 40,000 unique items for the military. From our state-of-the-art facilities in Providence, RI, Buena Vista, VA and Bally, PA, we employ over 300 employees who manufacture and distribute the uniform items, tactical gear, coins, and accoutrements earned and displayed proudly by our military personnel. We have a strong team of field sales representatives serving our military bases on site with full support from our corporate offices in Providence, RI. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Retail Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal of our retail allocated spaces and ensuring that products are displayed according to company standards. This position requires a keen eye for design, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with store management. In this position you will manage stock assortments with our corporate office, stock merchandise, conduct weekly cycle counts and build relationships with managers to ensure the needs of the Exchange are met or exceeded. You will work independently to meet the needs of AAFES store locations at Ft Campbell, KY. Total hourly expectation - aprox 10-15 PT/25-35 FT hours weekly, 1099 contract, flexible schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain planograms and schematics to optimize product placement and maximize sales. Maintain a professional working rapport with store management. Become familiar with Brigade tactical gear, Bear Forces plush and Challenge Coin assortments. Organize merchandise displays in accordance with company guidelines and current promotions. Conduct regular cycle counts of product displays to ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards. Keep sales floor stocked and maintain organized backstock; identify and adjust over and understocked items with corporate office with the use of company provided scanner. Assist management in determining need of new/varied items; present new items to store management as they become available. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring that all merchandising tools and materials are readily accessible. Follow base regulations at all times and retain a professional appearance and attitude.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Base access or ability to obtain legal base access Strong communication, organizational and time management skills Professional/volunteer experience exhibiting your ability to work independently with minimal oversight Previous professional vendor, retail, or customer service experience preferred, but not required - will train Occasionally be able to lift up to 50 lbs. In person Experience Previous experience in retail merchandising or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cash register operations is essential. Knowledge of planograms, schematics, and visual merchandising principles is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. Experience in interior design or remodeling can be beneficial for creating attractive displays. A background in store management is advantageous for understanding overall retail operations.
