Help keep the busy shop running smoothly and customers on the road. We are seeking an organized, customer-focused Parts & Service Associate to support a busy service department. This full-time, temp-to-hire role is responsible for sourcing parts, managing repair orders, maintaining inventory, and serving as a key connection between customers, technicians, vendors, and management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Operate the parts counter and source parts for active and scheduled repair jobs. Assist technicians and customers in identifying and obtaining the correct parts quickly and accurately. Open, update, and manage repair orders and job sections within the TMT system. Work closely with the Shop Foreman and Service Manager to support workflow and maximize shop productivity. Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager to order parts, monitor inventory levels, and maintain shop supplies. Receive, stock, organize, and track inventory while ensuring accurate records are maintained. You must be able to lift & move up to 70 lbs. Research parts availability, pricing, and alternative sourcing options to support timely repairs. Process returns, warranty items, and vendor communications as needed. Maintain a clean, organized parts room and warehouse area. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. What We're Looking For Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn shop management software. Prior experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, receiving, or parts management required. Experience working in a service, automotive, trucking, or industrial environment is a plus. Knowledge of automotive parts, diesel trucks, or commercial vehicle systems would be helpful but is not required.
