Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Auto Parts Counterperson, where your enthusiasm for automotive excellence and customer service will drive success! Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair will empower you to assist customers with confidence, ensuring they receive the right parts quickly and accurately. Duties Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish Greet customers promptly and professionally Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner Answers phone calls, providing price quotes, product availability, and other information Communicate with customer on parts status Pulls and fills orders from stock Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order. Provide exceptional customer service by understanding their vehicle needs and making recommendations as needed Manage inventory with precision Clearly communicate with Service Technicians for parts needed Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new product lines to enhance retail sales Support service technicians and advisors by sourcing parts for repair orders Use dealership computer systems to look up, order, and bill parts Maintain clean, organized work areas and inventory locations Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Receive and stock inventory, ensuring proper organization and rotation of parts Handle customer returns and exchanges according to company policy Stay current on new products, automotive technology, and industry trends Experience Previous dealership experience or retail sales background within the automotive industry is highly preferred Ford experience preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, automotive service, and vehicle maintenance techniques Proven skills in inventory management, stock control, and order fulfillment processes Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and customer service excellence Organizational skills that enable efficient stocking, merchandising, and maintenance of the parts department Familiarity with dealership operations or automotive repair shops enhances your ability to excel in this role Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering top-tier automotive solutions!
