Must have automotive Parts experience. Overview Must have Automotive Parts Experience at a dealership We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their needs, managing sales transactions, maintaining inventory levels, organizing your station, helping technicians with picking parts and assisting your Parts manager. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries. Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system and cash register. Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist customers and technicians with automotive diagnostics and service recommendations. Maintain an organized stock area and ensure inventory control measures are implemented. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking products as needed. Provide information about products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service. Qualifications Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred. Strong cash handling skills with experience using cash registers or POS systems. MUST know DealerTrack DMS and X-Time Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics and services is a plus. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management. A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
