STS Truck & Utility Trailer Sales of New York is a trailer, truck, and truck equipment dealership with five locations across New York and Pennsylvania. Our Albany branch is looking for one person who can keep the parts and service side of the building moving — in the warehouse, on the shop floor, on the road, and at the counter. This is not a one-lane job, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. Some days you're counting and organizing inventory. Some days you're hanging mudflaps or assisting on a job for a technician. Some days you're in the truck picking up a part a customer is waiting on. And when our Parts & Service Manager is out, you're the one answering the phone and taking care of the person who just walked through the door. What You Will Do Warehouse & Inventory Receive, stock, label, and organize parts inventory; keep the warehouse orderly and findable Pull and stage parts for open work orders so technicians aren't hunting Support cycle counts, bin locations, returns, and inventory accuracy projects Process shipments in and out, including packaging and freight coordination Shop Support Assist technicians with installations, repairs, and two-person jobs — mudflaps, lighting, mounting, component installs, equipment setup Fill technician parts requests quickly and accurately Clock time and document work in our work order system Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe Parts Pickup & Delivery Run parts pickups from vendors and deliveries to customers and job sites in a company pickup or van Verify counts and paperwork on both ends; handle the freight carefully Maintain the vehicle and drive professionally — you're representing STS every time you pull in somewhere Counter & Customer Coverage Answer parts and service phone calls and help walk-in customers Look up parts and write orders — with training and support until you own it Cover the Parts & Service Manager's desk when they are out, on vacation, or tied up What We're Looking For Valid NYS driver's license with a clean record and insurability under our policy (no CDL required) Mechanical aptitude — you don't need to be a technician, but you should be comfortable with hand tools and able to follow instructions on a basic repair job Basic computer skills and the discipline to document work accurately The kind of person who picks up the phone, greets the customer, and figures it out rather than waiting to be told Helpful, not required: parts counter or dealership experience; truck, trailer, or heavy equipment familiarity; forklift experience; experience with a dealership DMS. Physical Requirements Walk, stand, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods. Visually inspect small defects and small parts. Operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job-specific equipment. Hear and accurately interpret mechanical, technical, and business information in an environment subject to noise and vibration. Frequently lifts and carries up to 50 lbs unassisted. Occasionally moves components weighing up to 100 lbs — including brake drums, axles, and similar parts — by rolling, sliding, or using carts, dollies, hoists, or a second person. Unassisted lifting or carrying of items over 50 lbs is not required.

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
