We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Counter Sales & Customer Service Representative. Position Summary The Counter Sales & Customer Service Representative serves as a primary point of contact for both walk-in and phone customers. This role is responsible for helping customers identify the correct products for their vehicles, equipment, or shop needs while providing exceptional customer service. In addition to sales, this position supports daily branch operations through order entry, invoicing, inventory management, and maintaining accurate product information. The ideal candidate enjoys helping customers solve problems, has a strong understanding of automotive and industrial products, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist walk-in customers by recommending and locating the correct products for their needs. Answer incoming phone calls and process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Provide product recommendations for automotive, commercial, industrial, and fleet customers. Process sales transactions, invoices, credits, and customer payments. Coordinate delivery orders with warehouse and delivery personnel. Maintain accurate customer, product, and inventory records. Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, cycle counts, and product organization. Receive and stock incoming inventory. Research parts, product specifications, and manufacturer information when needed. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through knowledgeable, friendly service. Help resolve customer questions, product issues, and order discrepancies. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales counter and showroom. Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service, counter sales, retail, or inside sales experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using computers, order entry systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience in the automotive, heavy-duty truck, industrial supply, lubricant, or parts distribution industry. Knowledge of automotive lubricants, chemicals, filters, shop supplies, and related products. Experience with inventory management or ERP systems. Mechanical or automotive background. Desired Skills Strong problem-solving abilities. Professional and customer-first attitude. Ability to learn technical product information quickly. Dependable and self-motivated. Team-oriented with a willingness to assist across departments. Comfortable working with both retail customers and commercial accounts. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday. Pay:

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
