Parts Department Associate Prince William Marina is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Parts Department Associate to join our marine service team in Woodbridge, Virginia. The Parts Department Associate will support our service technicians, customers, and vendors by identifying, ordering, receiving, organizing, and distributing marine parts and supplies. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and an interest in boats, mechanics, or the marine industry.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers and technicians with identifying marine parts, accessories, and supplies Research parts using manufacturer catalogs, diagrams, websites, and computerized systems Order parts from manufacturers, distributors, and vendors Receive, inspect, label, and properly store incoming parts Maintain an organized parts inventory and assist with cycle counts Pull and stage parts for service work orders Track special orders, backorders, returns, and warranty parts Prepare parts for technician use and customer pickup Maintain accurate records, pricing, invoices, and purchase orders Communicate with service advisors, technicians, vendors, and customers Keep the parts department, warehouse, and storage areas clean and organized Assist with stocking shelves and moving parts throughout the marina and service department Follow all company safety procedures and inventory-control policies Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a parts department, warehouse, automotive, marine, equipment, or mechanical environment preferred Knowledge of boats, engines, marine systems, or mechanical parts is helpful but not required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to accurately identify part numbers and match parts to equipment Comfortable using computers, email, inventory software, and online parts catalogs Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a busy service environment Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry parts and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work throughout the day Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions Ability to safely operate stairs, ladders, carts, and other equipment as needed Must be able to maintain a safe and organized work environment
Schedule:
Full-time Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Some Sundays as necessary
