Leasing Consultant Turn Conversations into Connections — and Prospects into Residents! Are you outgoing, customer-focused, and energized by meeting new people? Do you have a passion for sales and enjoy helping people find the perfect place to call home? HSL Asset Management is looking for an enthusiastic Leasing Consultant to join our team! As a Leasing Consultant, you'll be one of the first faces prospective residents meet and an important part of creating an exceptional experience from the first tour through move-in and beyond. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a sales-driven, customer service environment and wants to build a career in multifamily property management and apartment leasing . What You'll Do You'll combine sales, leasing, marketing, and customer service to help drive the success of your community.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greet prospective residents and create a welcoming, professional first impression Identify prospects' needs and preferences and confidently present available apartment homes Conduct property and apartment tours while highlighting community features and benefits Follow up with prospective residents and help turn leads into leases Complete lease applications, verification processes, lease agreements, addenda, and other required documentation Accept rents and deposits and assist with resident-related transactions Build positive relationships with current residents and help deliver an exceptional resident experience Respond professionally to prospect and resident questions by phone and in person Maintain accurate prospect information, guest cards, leasing paperwork, and files Stay informed about local market conditions and apartment leasing trends Assist with marketing efforts and share ideas to increase traffic and resident satisfaction Inspect apartment homes for move-ins, move-outs, and vacancies Partner with the Community Director, Assistant Community Director, maintenance team, and other team members to support community operations
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of related experience and/or training Strong sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills Professional verbal and written communication skills Ability to confidently present information one-on-one and in small groups Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer, internet, and typing skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation for business-related responsibilities
Preferred Experience:
1+ year of experience or training in apartment leasing, property management, sales, real estate, or a related field Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required
