Sr. Associate Estate Planning Attorney

Job Description

At Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec & Hoff, Ltd., you'll work with successful families, entrepreneurs, and closely held business owners on complex estate planning, wealth preservation, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, and related tax matters, while enjoying a collaborative environment where attorneys are trusted, supported, and encouraged to build lasting client relationships. You'll have direct client responsibility, work on complex matters, and have the opportunity to become a trusted advisor to our clients. In this role, you will: Design sophisticated estate plans for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. Draft simple to complex estate plans, business succession plans, charitable planning strategies, gifting strategies, tax strategies, and all related estate planning documents. Prepare estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns. Counsel trustees, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries through trust and estate administration. Build long-term client relationships based on thoughtful advice and exceptional service.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Illinois. Approximately 5-10 years of experience practicing estate planning and has substantial experience serving high-net-worth individuals and families. Experience with trust and estate administration. Experience preparing estate, gift, fiduciary, or related tax returns. Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Ability to independently manage client matters while working collaboratively with colleagues. Commitment to providing exceptional client service and continuing to deepen technical expertise. Preferred Qualifications Experience with business succession planning. LL.M. in Taxation, CPA, or comparable tax background. Existing referral relationships or a portable book of business (welcome but not required).
