Apartment Leasing Consultant$26+/Hour | Clifton, NJ | Full-Time | Tuesday-Saturday If you know how to turn a tour into a lease, we want to meet you. Goldberg Realty is looking for a confident, people-focused Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our team in Clifton, NJ. You'll work across two nearby apartment communities , giving you a little more variety in your day while keeping you focused on what you do best: meeting prospects, showing apartments, building relationships, following up, and closing leases. You'll meet prospective residents, learn what they're looking for, show them the right apartment, answer their questions, follow up, overcome objections and most importantly- ask for the lease. If you get a little excited when a prospect says, "I really like this apartment," you're probably our kind of person.

Your Day Might Look Like:

Meeting new prospects and learning what they're looking for in their next home Showing apartments and highlighting what makes each community special Following up with prospects by phone, email and text Building relationships that turn inquiries into applications—and applications into leases Keeping your pipeline moving and making sure no lead gets forgotten Processing applications and helping new residents get ready for move-in Working toward occupancy and leasing goals Partnering with the onsite management and maintenance teams Helping with resident events, marketing and community outreach Moving between two nearby Clifton communities as needed No two days will look exactly the same and that's part of the fun. You do need to be confident, comfortable asking for the sale and willing to have the conversation when a prospect says, "I need to think about it." Knows how to follow up. You understand that the first conversation isn't always the lease. You stay on top of your leads and don't let good prospects disappear. Knows how to connect with people. You're naturally personable, professional and comfortable talking to all kinds of people. Knows how to stay organized. You've got multiple prospects, applications, move-ins and follow-ups happening at once—and you can keep track of all of them. Takes initiative. You don't need someone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do next. You see what needs to be done and do it. What You Need Previous apartment leasing experience is required Multifamily property management experience Strong sales and customer service skills Confidence handling objections and closing leases Excellent follow-up and communication skills Strong organization and attention to detail Reliable transportation to travel between two nearby communities Yardi Voyager experience is a plus Affordable Housing and/or Section 8 experience is a plus
