In person Garden Communities is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Leasing Agent for Brookfield Gardens, a residential apartment community located in Ewing, NJ. The Leasing Agent will serve as an important point of contact for prospective and current residents. This position is responsible for responding to inquiries, conducting apartment tours, following up with prospective residents, assisting with applications and leasing paperwork, and supporting the daily operation of the property management office. Prior apartment leasing or property management experience is preferred. However, we are also interested in candidates with strong transferable experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, administration, front-desk operations, or other customer-facing positions. The ideal candidate will be organized, confident communicating with people, comfortable learning new systems, and committed to providing a positive and professional experience for residents and prospective residents. Bilingual skills are preferred but not required Responsibilities Greet prospective residents and provide accurate information regarding apartment availability, rental rates, amenities, and application requirements Respond to telephone calls, emails, online inquiries, and walk-in prospects promptly and professionally Conduct apartment and property tours in a welcoming, informative, and professional manner Follow up consistently with prospective residents regarding availability, applications, and next steps Assist with rental applications, document collection, application verification, lease preparation, renewals, move-ins, and resident paperwork Maintain accurate guest cards, leasing records, reports, leases, and resident files Assist current residents with questions, service requests, and general property concerns Communicate resident service requests and maintenance concerns to the appropriate team members Support the Property Manager with daily leasing, administrative, and resident-relations responsibilities Maintain an organized and professional leasing office Assist with resident notices, communications, and community events as needed Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing requirements, ADA requirements, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other applicable laws Perform additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager Qualifications Prior leasing or property management experience preferred Experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, administration, front-desk operations, or another customer-facing role will be considered Yardi or other property management software experience is preferred but not required Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills Comfortable conducting apartment tours and speaking with prospective residents Ability to manage telephone calls, emails, appointments, applications, and resident requests in a busy office Computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office Ability to learn new property management and leasing systems Professional, positive, dependable, and detail-oriented Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team Bilingual skills are preferred but not required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
