In person Garden Communities is seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Leasing Agent for Westmount Village, a large residential apartment community in Woodland Park, NJ. The ideal candidate will combine strong leasing and sales abilities with excellent resident service. We are looking for someone who can confidently conduct apartment tours, build rapport with prospective residents, maintain consistent follow-up, and manage multiple applications and resident requests in a busy property management office. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of the leasing process—from the initial inquiry and property tour through application, lease signing, and move-in. Responsibilities Greet prospective residents and provide accurate information regarding available apartments, rental rates, community features, and leasing requirements Conduct apartment and property tours in a professional, engaging, and welcoming manner Respond promptly to telephone, email, online, and in-person leasing inquiries Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective residents regarding availability, applications, and next steps Assist with rental applications, application verification, lease preparation, renewals, move-ins, and resident paperwork Maintain accurate guest cards, prospect records, leases, reports, and resident files Assist current residents with questions, concerns, service requests, and general property information Communicate professionally with residents, applicants, maintenance employees, vendors, and management Support the Property Manager with daily leasing and administrative responsibilities Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming leasing office Assist with resident communications and community events as needed Handle resident concerns professionally, fairly, and consistently Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other applicable laws Perform additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager Qualifications Prior residential leasing or property management experience strongly preferred Yardi experience preferred Strong leasing, sales, customer service, and follow-up skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional, positive, dependable, and customer-focused Able to build rapport with prospective and current residents Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must be a team player and work effectively with owners, managers, colleagues, residents, and vendors Must be legally authorized to work in the
