About the Opportunity Job Summary Join our dynamic legal team as an Estate & Elder Law Associate Attorney, where you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through estate planning, elder law, and related legal matters. We are looking for an Estate & Elder Law Associate Attorney to join our team on a part-time basis, with a real path to full-time. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive legal counsel, develop innovative solutions, and advocate effectively for clients navigating sensitive life transitions. You will help ensure that clients' assets are protected, their healthcare wishes honored, and their legal rights upheld with compassion and precision. What You'll Do Responsibilities Prepare estate plans, using strategies to protect and preserve assets, reduce taxes, and accomplish client goals Handle estate and trust administration from start to finish Analyze trust and estate planning documents and advise clients on trustees' powers and duties, dispositive provisions, beneficiary rights, and tax treatment of distributions Prepare and file petitions to protect clients and their property interests Draft Special Needs Trusts Handle and manage Medicaid long-term care applications and guardianship cases Attend Court hearings as needed, primarily Orphans' Court in the surrounding Philadelphia counties Manage assigned client matters from intake through resolution Collaborate with clients' financial and insurance professionals Handle consultations and convert leads to new clients Provide responsive, high-quality service to clients and prospective clients What We're Looking For Skills J.D. degree and active PA license Excellent writing skills Orphans' Court experience (guardianship and estate litigation) a plus Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters with clarity and follow-through A genuine ability to listen, identify client needs, and explain complex legal concepts in plain language Comfort working in sensitive, confidential client situations
Pay:
From $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
