Job Description

Legal Assistant -
Estate Planning/Estate Administration Pay:
$20.00-$28.00 per hour Job Summary A well-established multi-practice law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with a background in Estate Planning and Estate Administration . This position provides administrative and clerical support to attorneys and requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities Prepare legal documents, briefs, court subpoenas, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other legal and office-related documents. Maintain both physical and electronic legal files and document management systems. Greet clients and visitors in person and by phone, directing inquiries appropriately. Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal correspondence and documents. Assist attorneys by researching, reviewing, organizing, and routing legal documents and correspondence. Coordinate case preparation and maintain accurate case files. Schedule client meetings, attorney conferences, depositions, court reporters, expert witnesses, and courier services. Manage attorney calendars, including court dates, meetings, travel arrangements, and filing deadlines. Monitor court appearances, pleadings, and filing requirements. Follow up on delegated assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks. Enter attorney billable time, prepare invoices, track payments, and process expense reports. Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information. Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of Estate Planning and/or Estate Administration experience in a law firm. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with legal practice management software is preferred. Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Excellent typing, spelling, grammar, and basic math skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other modern office technology. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
