Operations Associate — Order Fulfillment & Returns Bluesmiths | Kula, MauiFull-time | On-site | Monday-Friday | $25/hour DOE + Healthcare About Bluesmiths Bluesmiths is a Maui-based performance apparel brand inspired by the ocean. We design, develop and produce technical apparel for athletes and everyday use, selling directly to customers around the world through our e-commerce store. We are a small company with a strong focus on exceptional products and great customer service. The Role We are looking for a reliable, organized and detail-oriented Operations Associate to handle our day-to-day order fulfillment, returns, inventory tasks and routine customer service. This is a hands-on role. A typical day will involve picking and packing Shopify orders, processing returned apparel, keeping inventory organized and responding to straightforward customer questions about orders, shipping, returns and exchanges. Accuracy, reliability and organization are particularly important. You should enjoy practical work, be comfortable working independently and take pride in keeping things neat and running smoothly. Work Location This is an on-site position at our space in Kula, Maui , where Bluesmiths' inventory is stored and customer orders are fulfilled. It is a small, clean and organized operation located in a residential setting rather than a commercial warehouse or office. Applicants should be comfortable working in this environment. Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment Pick, pack and ship daily e-commerce orders Prepare shipments for carrier collection or drop-off Returns Receive and inspect returned apparel Process returns through our returns system Repack and restock merchandise Customer Service Respond to routine customer inquiries through our online helpdesk Help customers with order status, shipping, returns, exchanges and straightforward product questions Communicate clearly, warmly and promptly Escalate unusual or complicated issues when appropriate Inventory & Organization Keep SKUs, bins and inventory locations organized Conduct routine inventory and cycle counts Receive and organize incoming inventory Keep fulfillment and inventory areas clean, tidy and efficient What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Reliable, punctual and dependable Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently Friendly and professional, with clear written and verbal communication skills Comfortable using computers and apps and learning straightforward online systems Comfortable with basic spreadsheets, including Excel or Google Sheets Able to prioritize daily tasks and stay organized Happy working on their feet for much of the day Able to safely lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a residential fulfillment environment In possession of a valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle Must be currently living on Maui Helpful Experience Previous experience in any of the following would be helpful, but isn't essential: Retail, hospitality, customer service or warehouse operations Apparel or inventory handling E-commerce, including Shopify, shipping or customer-service software An interest in apparel, ocean sports or the outdoors is also a plus.
