Job Summary The Returns Associate is responsible for supporting the full returns process , including Returns Prep, Returns Processing, and Returns Putaway . The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. Returns Prep is a primary responsibility of this position. Associates should be mentally and physically prepared to spend a significant portion of their shift opening, cleaning, lint rolling, inspecting, folding, and preparing returned merchandise. Every unit must be thoroughly prepared and meet quality standards before moving forward in the returns process. Key ResponsibilitiesReturns Prep — Primary Responsibility Clean, lint roll, fold, and repackage returned merchandise. Inspect each unit to ensure it is clean, presentable, and suitable to return to inventory. Identify and separate damaged, stained, defective, or questionable merchandise. Maintain a minimum productivity rate of 20 units per hour (UPH) while meeting quality standards. Maintain focus and quality while working through repetitive, high-volume returns. Returns Processing Process returns through the WMS according to established procedures. Properly stage processed returns for putaway. Identify and escalate missing ASNs, discrepancies, or other return exceptions. Returns Putaway Put processed return units into their designated inventory locations. Maintain inventory accuracy throughout the putaway process. General Responsibilities Follow SOPs, customer-specific requirements, safety procedures, and 5S standards. Maintain a clean and organized returns work area. Communicate issues, discrepancies, and supply needs to the Returns Coordinator. Support additional warehouse tasks as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Warehouse or fulfillment experience preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Comfortable with hands-on, repetitive work , particularly cleaning and preparing merchandise. Able to maintain productivity and accuracy in a high-volume environment. Reliable, organized, and able to follow established processes. Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds . Role Expectations This position requires a willingness to perform hands-on returns work every day. Candidates should understand that cleaning and preparing merchandise is not an occasional task—it is a primary responsibility of the role. Associates are expected to maintain the 20 UPH minimum during prep while ensuring every unit is properly cleaned, inspected, and ready to move back into inventory.
Pay:
