This energetic position offers the opportunity to engage with customers directly, assist with vehicle rentals, and support our rim shop services. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help ensure smooth operations, satisfied customers, and a well-maintained fleet. Responsibilities Assist customers with rental inquiries, reservations, and vehicle selection, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish Operate standard passenger vehicles safely and responsibly, following all safety protocols and traffic laws Manage inventory control for rental vehicles and rim shop parts, including manual handling and data entry to track stock levels accurately Perform routine maintenance checks on rental vehicles to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met Provide expert advice on rim repairs, replacements, and related automotive services to enhance customer satisfaction Handle phone communication professionally, including answering questions about rentals, services, and pricing using excellent phone etiquette Support sales efforts through outside sales initiatives and retail sales techniques to promote additional products or services Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage in public speaking and effectively convey information to diverse audiences Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a broader customer base Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for data entry, inventory management, and reporting Retail math skills to handle transactions accurately and manage retail sales efficiently Organizational skills necessary for maintaining inventory control, scheduling maintenance, and managing administrative tasks Experience in automotive rental industry or retail sales preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tires or equipment; manual handling experience is advantageous Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude that fosters positive relationships with clients Technical proficiency in vehicle operation, maintenance procedures, and basic automotive tools Join us as a U-Haul Rental/Rim Shop Associate where your energy fuels our success!
