This role is located in Mount Pleasant, TX 75455 Purpose The Returns to Vendor Coordinator is responsible for owning and managing the Return to Vendor (RTV) process from identification of nonconforming material through final supplier resolution. This position serves as the central point of coordination between Warehouse Operations, Quality, Sourcing, Inventory, and suppliers to ensure timely disposition of defective or nonconforming materials. The coordinator maintains visibility of all open supplier returns, drives timely communication and follow-up, schedules vendor pickups, ensures accurate documentation, and works proactively to prevent aging inventory from occupying valuable warehouse space. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining accountability throughout the return process. Key Responsibilities RTV Process Ownership Serve as the operational owner of the Return to Vendor (RTV) process. Manage each supplier return from initial NCR disposition through vendor pickup and final closure. Maintain accountability for ensuring RTVs continue progressing without unnecessary delays. Cross-Functional Coordination Act as the primary liaison between: Warehouse Operations Quality Sourcing Inventory Control Suppliers Facilitate communication to ensure all required information is complete and accurate. Coordinate activities between departments to eliminate process bottlenecks. NCR Management Monitor and maintain visibility of all NCRs designated for Return to Vendor. Track aging NCRs and proactively follow up on overdue actions. Verify inventory locations, quantities, and documentation when necessary. Ensure NCR records remain accurate and current throughout the return process. Vendor Coordination Schedule vendor pickups. Communicate pickup requirements with suppliers. Track shipment status through completion. Resolve delays by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Documentation & Reporting Ensure all RTV documentation is complete and compliant with company procedures. Maintain accurate tracking records for supplier returns. Generate reports on open NCRs, aging inventory, and RTV performance metrics. Identify trends and recommend opportunities for process improvement. Continuous Improvement Identify inefficiencies within the RTV process. Recommend improvements to reduce administrative effort and improve turnaround time. Support initiatives that improve supplier responsiveness and financial recovery. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred. Experience 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, inventory control, quality, purchasing, or supply chain. Experience working with ERP systems preferred (Epicor experience is a plus). Experience coordinating cross-functional processes is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience using ERP systems and inventory management software preferred. Ability to interpret quality documentation and nonconformance records. Physical Requirements Ability to walk throughout warehouse and manufacturing areas. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to inspect and identify returned materials. Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
