Music & Arts seeks a full-time Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and deliver exceptional service in our retail store. In this role, you'll guide students, parents, and educators in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons. You'll open and close the store, lead by example on the sales floor, process transactions, and help meet revenue and lesson enrollment goals. You'll also maintain merchandising standards, support school service events, and model our student-focused, collaborative culture while mentoring junior associates and promoting music education in the community. Responsibilities Provide consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Open and close the store, handling key holder and basic supervisory duties Meet or exceed individual and store sales and lesson enrollment goals Process sales, rentals, and returns accurately using POS systems Maintain merchandising standards, signage, and product displays Support in-store and school-based events to promote music education Assist with inventory receiving, tagging, and stockroom organization Resolve basic customer issues and escalate complex concerns as needed Mentor junior associates and model student-focused customer service Collaborate with store and school service teams on local outreach Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Product knowledge - musical instruments Merchandising Inventory control Lesson program enrollment/sales Basic conflict resolution Communication skills
