Music & Arts is seeking a PT Senior Sales Associate to join our student-focused retail team. In this role, you'll help students, parents, and educators find the right instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons. You'll provide knowledgeable product guidance, promote music education programs, and deliver outstanding customer service in a friendly, inclusive environment. Responsibilities include sales, rentals, enrollments, merchandising, and supporting school service efforts. This part-time position is ideal for someone passionate about music, education, and helping customers succeed in their musical journeys. Responsibilities Provide knowledgeable in-store sales assistance for band, orchestra, and other musical instruments, accessories, and services Guide students, parents, and educators in selecting rental or purchase options that fit musical and budget needs Promote and enroll customers in private lessons and other educational programs Maintain merchandise displays, signage, and store cleanliness to support a welcoming shopping and learning environment Process sales, rentals, returns, and repairs accurately using point-of-sale systems Support school service initiatives, including special orders and educator-focused programs Meet or exceed individual and store sales targets while delivering outstanding customer service Collaborate with teammates to execute promotions, events, and community outreach activities Stay current on product features, inventory, and financing or rental terms to advise customers effectively Assist with basic inventory tasks, including stocking, counts, and handling incoming shipments Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Product knowledge: musical instruments and accessories Merchandising and visual display Cash handling and reconciliation Inventory management basics Sales techniques and upselling Knowledge of music education programs and lessons Communication and interpersonal skills
