About Winchester Golf Club Winchester Golf Club is a well-established 27-hole public golf facility located in Winchester, Indiana, serving golfers throughout East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio. Featuring three distinct nine-hole courses—Beeson, Pony, and Willow—the club combines the friendly atmosphere of small-town golf with the activity and responsibilities of a much larger golf operation. With approximately 30,000 rounds annually, nearly 200 members, multiple weekly golf leagues, and more than 30 outings and tournaments each year, Winchester Golf Club maintains an active golf calendar throughout the season. The facility also features a full-service golf shop, driving range and practice facilities, TrackMan indoor golf simulator, PGA instruction and club fitting, food concessions, and a strong tournament and outing business. Winchester Golf Club has been an important part of the community for generations and takes pride in providing an affordable, welcoming, professionally operated golf experience. The club serves everyone from members and daily-fee golfers to junior players, high school teams, businesses, charities, and community organizations. With 27 holes and a diverse customer base, Winchester Golf Club offers a PGA Professional the opportunity to lead a true golf operation while becoming an important part of the community. Experience Required PGA Member or active PGA Associate (enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Managment Program) Prior experience as a Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional preferred, ideally one year or more Candidates with substantial experience in another field who bring strong leadership, business, and customer service skills will also be considered. Given the overall management scope of this role, candidates should be prepared to operate independently with minimal onboarding. Essential Responsibilities This position will report to the ownership and be responsible for the overall success of the course with a focus on maximizing the daily fee rounds, membership, and overall revenue.

Primary responsibilities include:

Oversee the daily golf operations, including the golf shop, tee sheet, cart operations, practice facility, maintenance, and food concessions. Recruit, train, schedule and supervise all golf shop, maintenance, concession, and seasonal staff. Plan, organize, and execute the golf outings, tournaments, leagues, junior golf programs, and other organized activities. Provide PGA quality golf instruction and club repair. Manage golf shop merchandising, including purchasing, inventory, pricing, and displays. Develop relationships with equipment and apparel vendors. Maintain and utilize the Trackman Indoor Simulator for instruction, club fitting, leagues, and recreation play. Maintain appropriate PGA standards and continue professional education and development. Represent Winchester Golf Club professionally within the Winchester and Randolph County community and help maintain the club's strong relationships with local business, schools, and organizations. The successful candidate should be a visible and approachable leader who enjoys being involved in all aspects of a busy public golf operation. This position requires someone who can balance customer service, staff management, tournament operations, merchandising, instruction, and business responsibilities while creating a welcoming environment for golfers of all ages and ability levels. Most importantly, Winchester Golf Club is looking for a golf professional who will take ownership of the golf operation, build relationships with our customers and community, and help position the club for continued success and growth.
