The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen eye for detail. As a Store Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while efficiently managing store operations. Your role will involve assisting customers, handling transactions, stocking and rotating products and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively assist customers with their inquiries and upsell items when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient sales operations and stock management. Assist in restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems to process transactions and manage inventory levels. Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints professionally to ensure customer satisfaction. Support loss prevention efforts by being vigilant about store security and reporting any suspicious activities. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. Familiarity with cash registers, cash handling procedures, and retail math is advantageous.
