For more than 40 years, Salmon Falls Gallery has showcased exceptional handcrafted work by many of America's finest artists and craftspeople. Located in a century-old mill overlooking the Deerfield River in the heart of scenic Shelburne Falls, our gallery is a destination for visitors from around the world.

Responsibilities include:

Welcoming visitors and providing exceptional customer service. Learning about the artists and their handcrafts. Assisting customers with purchases; processing sales through Point of Sale (POS) software. Carefully handling unique glass, ceramics, wood, jewelry, and other fine craft. Keeping the gallery clean, organized and attractive. Opening and closing the gallery as needed. Occasional assistance with hanging/moving artwork and displays. We're looking for someone who: Is warm, personable, and enjoys talking with people. Has retail (preferably) and/or customer service experience. Appreciates art, craft, and thoughtful design. Is dependable, organized, and attentive to detail. Is comfortable standing and walking throughout the day. Is available to work approximately 30 hours per week, including most weekends. Experience working in an arts-related field is not required, but willingness to learn about the artists and their work and to represent them enthusiastically is important. This position continues through December, with the possibility of becoming a longer term opportunity.
