Job Description

Overview Are you a golf professional looking for a fun, laid-back golf atmosphere that provides our members and guests with world class service while sharing a laugh? The Meadows Golf Club in Maine might be a fit for you! The Assistant Golf Professional will be responsible for working with the Director of Golf managing all aspects of golf operation related to delivering an exceptional golf experience for our members and guests. This includes maximizing the tee sheet, merchandising, building golf programs and increasing memberships, among other things. Experience you should have
  •  Positive and proactive supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills. Ability to support company decisions and to always communicate to team members from the company perspective.
  •  Must be a great communicator verbally and in writing with our members, guests and team
  •  Thorough knowledge of ordering/purchasing, inventory control, budget management and P&L accountability.
  •  Ability to multi-task while remaining focused on the key objectives of the position.
  •  Proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet.
  •  Must be comfortable and willing to "roll up sleeves" and lead by positive example.
  •  Possess the ability to work within established guidelines and standards ensuring brand consistency for both The Meadows and Director of Golf.
  •  High School diploma or equivalent
  •  Maintain active classification in the PGA of America.
  •  Golf Professional experience preferred, but will consider similar experience at a high volume 18 hole facility.
  •  Ability to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands. What you'll be doing
  •  Must be proactive in developing innovative ideas to facilitate the continual delivery of exceptional quality products and profit contributions to the company.
  •  Ensure excellent guest experience by being responsive, follow up in a timely manner, and follow through on commitments.
  •  Use all golf shop related systems efficiently including Foreup, GolfGenius, and Tagmarshal.
  •  Assist in managing and overseeing internal events for members.
  •  Assist in the coordination of external outside golf events with the Director of Golf. Ensure day of tournament execution of the event is efficient, professional and provides a great experience.
  •  Ensure the golf cart fleet is well maintained and cleaned on a daily basis according to the clean standard.
  •  Manage, maintain and make recommendations to our buyer for merchandise appropriate to the facility demographic.
  •  Recruit, hire and train Golf Shop, Player Assistant and Guest Service team members in accordance with Peak Partners' Core Values. Follow prescribed orientation process to set each team member up for success.
  •  Ensure proper safe work environment to include compliance with OSHA/WISHA and The Meadows' guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  •  Lead by example. Establish and embody the benchmark of performance to the department in the areas of motivation, sense of ownership, and dedication to quality of product.
  •  Assist in holding team members accountable for their areas of responsibility through the use of The Meadows position descriptions and clearly articulated expectations.
  •  Maintain open lines of communication between the golf shop staff and golf maintenance staff and work together to facilitate outings to ensure the highest level of guest experience.
  •  Supervise and manage facility tee sheets to maximize play and make recommendations for additional revenue generation.
Job Types:
Full-time, Seasonal Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
