OVERVIEW

IRONMAN is coming back to the Traverse City, and we are looking to hire individuals to work in our event store. This is a great opportunity for friends or family to get involved with the race. Work at the official IRONMAN merchandise store assisting customers, athletes, family, and fans in a fast-paced retail environment.

POSITION

We are looking to hire 10 individuals with retail experience that are outgoing, friendly, and hard-working with the ability to take directions from management.

DUTIES:

• Assisting Merchandise Event Coordinator and Operations in the execution of store setup and breakdown
• Stocking the sales floor and general store maintenance
• Greeting customers and assisting them with their various needs and questions
• Maintaining visual presentation of the store by sizing, folding and completing other tasks
• Assisting customers in fitting rooms
• Processing monetary transactions at the cash register

QUALIFICATIONS

• Retail experience preferred.
• Upon hire all staff must complete the required onboarding tax paperwork prior to work shifts and provide proof of identification.
• Due to increased restrictions, we will not be able to hire anyone under the age of 18 this year. We are actively working on finding a resolution with HR for next year; however, we will not be able to offer employment to minors.
• This is an active working environment. Employees will be expected to bend and reach, lift heavy boxes, and withstand being on their feet all day.
• Appropriate breaks and lunches will be given depending upon the length of the shift.
• Unpaid breaks are voluntary on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
• 45 Minute unpaid lunch breaks will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Sunday is a breakdown day.

That means we will be packing everything up back into the trailer. This is a long day where we will be offering 10+ hours of work, and additional breaks.
