We are currently hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate in the Shakopee area. This is an in-person, face-to-face retail sales position representing an established energy provider inside major retail locations. Retail Sales Associates engage directly with shoppers, explain available residential energy service options, programs, rates, and potential savings opportunities , and assist eligible customers who choose to enroll in available energy services. This position offers a guaranteed weekly base pay of $775-$975 plus uncapped commission opportunities based on individual sales performance. Previous sales or energy industry experience is not required. Paid training is provided. Compensation & Employment Full-time W-2 employee position Not a 1099 or independent contractor opportunity Guaranteed base pay: $775-$975 per week Uncapped commission opportunities in addition to guaranteed base pay Commission earnings are based on individual sales performance and are not guaranteed Paid weekly Paid training provided Performance-based advancement opportunities What You'll Do As a Retail Sales Associate, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Work face-to-face with customers inside assigned retail locations Approach and engage shoppers to introduce available residential energy services Educate customers on available energy plans, service options, rates, programs, and potential savings opportunities Explain program details, eligibility requirements, pricing, and enrollment information clearly and accurately Answer customer questions regarding available energy services Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate available service options Conduct face-to-face sales presentations using provided product and sales training Assist qualified and interested customers through the sales, application, and enrollment process Accurately collect and process required customer enrollment information Generate new customer acquisitions for the assigned energy campaign Maintain current knowledge of available energy programs, services, and promotions Track individual sales activity and performance Work toward established daily and weekly sales goals Maintain professional and positive customer interactions Participate in ongoing product, compliance, customer service, and sales training This position is performed in person inside retail locations and involves actively approaching and engaging customers regarding available energy services. It is not a remote, office-based, or door-to-door sales position. Schedule Full-time Approximately 40 hours per week Retail operating hours Weekend availability may be required Schedule may vary based on assigned retail location Reliable transportation to assigned retail locations is required Qualifications We're looking for candidates who: Are at least 18 years old Are legally authorized to work in the United States Are comfortable approaching and speaking with customers face-to-face Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Are interested in developing experience in sales and customer acquisition Are comfortable working toward individual sales and performance goals Are coachable and willing to learn energy service information and sales presentations Can work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment Are comfortable working on their feet during scheduled shifts Have reliable transportation to assigned retail locations Can work independently while contributing to team goals Are available for a full-time retail schedule, including weekends as required Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, sales, promotions, energy services, or other customer-facing positions is helpful but not required .
