Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, self-motivated Customer Service & Sales Associate to join our showroom team for 30-35 hours per week. This is an in-person position in our showroom. As the first person many customers meet, you will play a vital role in creating an outstanding customer experience. Every customer who walks through our doors is greeted with a smile, professionalism, and a willingness to help. We are looking for someone who naturally enjoys working with people and understands that exceptional customer service is our highest priority. Responsibilities Welcome every customer with a friendly smile and professional attitude. Listen carefully to customers' needs and assist them in selecting fireplaces, gas logs, stoves, outdoor fire products, and related accessories. Answer phones professionally using great communication skills. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting showroom. Process sales transactions and customer payments accurately. Use QuickBooks Online to create invoices, process payments, and manage customer information. Follow up with customers to ensure an exceptional experience. Assist with receiving inventory using a forklift in the loading dock Learn product knowledge to confidently answer customer questions. Work closely with coworkers to ensure daily operations run smoothly. Pitch in wherever needed to support the team and provide excellent customer service. Qualifications Previous customer service, retail, construction, or hearth industry experience preferred. Experience with QuickBooks Online is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong grammar. Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to help others. Professional appearance and dress at all times. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Must work well with others and treat coworkers with kindness and respect. Team-player mentality—everyone helps one another when needed. Ability to learn technical product information about fireplaces and outdoor fire products. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy merchandise.
