Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive exceptional shopping experiences. In this energetic role, you will engage with customers, provide expert advice on clothing and surf lifestyle, and surf brand products, and ensure the store remains organized and inviting. Your passion for retail sales will help us create a vibrant environment that inspires our customers to enjo their time at the beach. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in merchandising and customer service while working in a lively surf shop setting. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them. Provide expert advice on surf shop related clothing and products. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management. Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stocking to enhance the shopping experience. Answer customer inquiries via phone communication promptly and professionally. Assist with inventory management by organizing stock, labeling products, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked. Help with Rental program. Promote e-commerce options by guiding customers on online purchasing or order pickup services. Uphold excellent customer service standards by addressing questions, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring a positive store environment. Perform cleaning tasks for the store. Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in clothing stores. Knowledge of surfing. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math ensures smooth transaction processing. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Some work experience enhances your ability to handle physical tasks like stocking or rental equipment help. Familiarity with surf brands.
