Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, dependable Store Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining store operations, and supporting various departments including hardware, paint, and seasonal products. If you enjoy working with people and solving problems, this is a great opportunity. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience Assist customers with product selection, questions, and project advice Stock shelves, merchandise products, and maintain store cleanliness Operate the register and handle cash and card transactions Support departments such as paint, tools, plumbing, and outdoor supplies Mix paint and assist with basic color matching (training provided) Help unload deliveries and restock inventory Follow all safety and store policies Required Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Basic math and computer skills Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs Reliable, punctual, and motivated Preferred Qualifications Previous retail or hardware store experience Knowledge of home improvement products or tools Experience with paint mixing or sales (a plus, not required) Benefits & Perks Flexible scheduling (evenings and weekends required) Employee discount on store merchandise Opportunities for growth and advancement On-the-job training in hardware and home improvement Why Join Barnegat Ace Hardware?
